
Trinacria pileolus (Ehrenberg) Grunow (1884)
Comment: Large valve with a clear circular dome in the central part of the valve face. Note the multiple rimoportulae visible close to the margin of the central dome.
Locality: Ocean Drilling Program Hole 1050C (Blake Nose, western North Atlantic), sample: 171B-1050C-2R-4, 100-101 cm (early Paleocene).
