Thaumatonema costatum Greville (1865)
Comment: Partly broken valve of an extremely rare species. Only several specimens have been examined and illustrated since Greville proposed this species in 1865.
Locality: Ocean Drilling Program Hole 1050A (Blake Nose, western North Atlantic), sample: 171B-1050A-3H-6, 100-101 cm (middle Eocene).
