Coscinodiscus rhombicus Castracane (1886)

Comment: Small valve with parts of the margin missing. Note that this species was first described as a member of the genus Coscinodiscus, but obviously belongs elsewhere.

Locality: Ocean Drilling Program Hole 959A (Côte d'Ivoire-Ghana Marginal Ridge, eastern tropical Atlantic), sample: 159-959A-37X-1, 61-63 cm (early Miocene).
