Trinacria pileolus (Ehrenberg) Grunow (1884)
Comment: Large valve with a clear circular dome in the central part of the valve face. Note the multiple rimoportulae visible close to the margin of the central dome.

Ocean Drilling Program Hole 1050C (Blake Nose, western North Atlantic), sample: 171B-1050C-2R-4, 100-101 cm (early Paleocene).
