Comment: Well-preserved valve with the polar elevations intact, despite their large height. Please note that this species war originally proposed as a member of Triceratium, but in fact should be placed in a different genus. The slide on which this diatom is mounted, is labelled as material from Kusnetzk, Russia, but it features also taxa reported only from Barbados and only from Oamaru. This specimen likely comes from Kusnetzk.
Locality: Locality unknown. The Natural History Museum slide BM coll. Adams M89 (age unknown).
